About the Author
Teresa Federici started writing at a young age, but just took the chance to get published in her late 30's. She writes paranormal romance, contemporary romance, horror, and sci-fi, in addition to honey-do lists for her husband and stepson. She currently lives in South Florida, with big plans to relocate to New England, where the summers aren't as sweltering and the mosquitoes are fewer.

I want more!

Book 1 seems by many reviews to be a great book. So where is book 2? Book 1 came out in 2008, 5 years later and no book 2 which is odd since by a couple of the reviews, the ending isn't happy and will continue into book 2. May put in wish list since I hate to read books that are in parts but no follow up book is available. Anyone know if book 2 is coming soon? UPDATE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Just got finished reading and I loved it! For being a Kindle edition, the editing was awesome. The story line is great and while it was a fast story , it kept me interested and unable to put it down. I can't wait for book 2 to see what happens to the extra characters, especially between the witch and the sorcerer, sorry for the spoil!!! God I loved Anna and Gareth and so want more. I have 1 issue and I hope the Author doesn't get offended( sorry!); I would liked an epilogue of a month or two later and I hope what happened to Anna is continued in book 2. But I believe the end and the plot between the extras is a tease. It is worth the money and an awesome read. No errors in the spelling or editing and Anna is like able and real. While her age may throw us older ladies off lol, I can believe someone her age acting and talking the way she does( she acts older than her age) but I'm telling you, it is a damn good read, and I detest Vampire books but this story, oh I just want more!

A slow starter that builds into a good story

Dr. Anna Greer is an up and coming geneticist working for the renowned pharmaceutical and genetic research lab, Macgregor Biosciences as a researcher. She is also doing secret research on the side trying to find the cure for XP, a disease that makes one allergic to UV light and what ultimately caused her mother's death. Her life seems normal enough if not a little boring until the day that the big man himself; Dr. Garth Macgregor, decides to visit her lab.
There is an almost immediate attraction between the two, which scares Anna more than a little, especially since she senses that all is not what it seems with Dr. Macgregor. For his part, Gareth has more than one secret, starting with the fact that he has a little secret research of his own going on and ending with the fact that he is a vampire.
Not being able to fight the attraction, Gareth and Anna are pulled to each other and into the fight for lives. They are joined by a few good friends and even an old enemy in the battle against an evil vampire who is out to not only squash Garth's research but end his life as well.
Ms. Federici weaves a tale of good versus evil using vampires, witches, sorcerers, werewolves, laughter and tears, lust and love and a fair amount of heat thrown in. Written from Anna's POV, the story is well told and the pacing is just about perfect. Humor is supplied in the form of two slightly eccentric witches and one extremely self-centered sorcerer as well as with the interactions between Anna and Gareth.
Anna is an intelligent young woman who has always known she was just a little different (she sees dead people) which the scientist in her doesn't allow her to acknowledge. When Ann meets Gareth she senses there is something different about him but she can't quite put her finger on it. All she does know is he is one fine looking man who makes her heart beat fast and has a way of getting under her skin that no one else has been able to do.
Gareth is tall, rich, good looking with just a hint of Scots in his speech and eyes to die for. At first he is interested in Anna's research, after meeting her he is drawn to her because she reminds him of someone in his past, then he just plain out can't stay away from her. A match made in heaven if you ask me.
After fighting her instincts about Gareth Anna sets out to do research on the paranormal and lands in a bookstore named Written, owned by two witches Teagan and Harley who will become friends and tutors to Anna. These two women are smart and funny and give us some truly fun moments. While trying to fight the evil nasty villain, vampire Padraigan the four will call on the help of Gareth's friend, sorcerer Noah, who is just the right mixture of hunk and snark. We also get an appearance by an old foe of Gareth's, werewolf Damien who has a surprise or two in store for us.
I enjoyed this story, it is well told and the characters are both fun and interesting. I've said before that I like a good story and am willing to forgive little issues if I'm told one and this book is no exception. The beginning was a little slow for me and I found myself thinking, oh no I'm not going to like this, but it didn't take long for the story to grab my attention and when it did I was hooked.
There is just about everything lovers of the genre could ask for - heat between Anna and Gareth, a group of loyal friends fighting a bad vampire, fun and excitement and even a twist or two. We have the perfect set up for a follow up story and I can't wait to see what is going to happen next.

Interesting New Concept for Vampires!!!

Teresa Federici is a new author for me. Eternity is her first book and I am happy to say, she should definitely continue this story. At first, I wondered if this was going to be the angst ridden Twilight-esque story of a smoldering attraction between vampire and human, which at the start showed no real spark. I was pleased that I did continue on, as the wonderful story blossoms taking a bit to warm up, like a simmering soup it becomes rich and hearty as it simmers.
We meet Dr. Anna Greer, newly hired young geneticist, working for a very large and important pharmaceutical firm. Gareth Macgreor is the lone owner, CEO, and head honcho of the company. It is so surprising, causing the whole pod where Anna works to be amazed as they watch Gareth pays a visit to a new hire, when he appears at Anna's lab desk.
The attraction they feel at this time unnerves Anna, as she feels all is not what it seems with Gareth. We learn Gareth has many secrets, one is what the lab is working on privately, trying to find a cure for XP. This research is for people who are allergic to UV light, which incidentally killed Anna's mother. It is important to Gareth, for his other secret is, he is a vampire.
Anna is a very astute young woman. From the moment she saw Gareth, she wanted him, but sensed something in him she couldn't place. Gareth is tall, dark and luscious; every woman's dream with eyes...what do you call them limpid pools? When they are attacked, others join the cause and a group of mis-matched paranormals eventually become a family.
Anna finds Tegan and Harley, two witches owning a book store called Written. Isn't that a great name? Anna finally admits to the girls that she has always been able to `see things' These two are fun, and warm and smart and give us a giggle or two when together. They are now going to tutor Anna in the craft. Damien and Noah round out our group a were wolf and a Sorcerer. We have the top of the paranormals in one room. They are all out to find and fight the bad guy Padraigan an elder vampire who wants to kill Gareth.
We traverse this story through the POV of Anna our story teller. We feel her heart beat faster just looking at Gareth, we see how independent she is, we learn to truly love Anna and the story she tells.
I was truly surprised how immersed I got into the story as I aid after the sorta slower start. The look for the XP gene and storyline was a different take to vampirism. The group that was assembled was a great addition as they were fleshed out beautifully by the author as she guided us through her story.
I enjoyed this book and I am thankful the next in the series is to be released in December. It had everything I could want and a bit more with the twists and turns that surprised.
