After receiving a cryptic package from the missing doctor and accidentally injecting himself with its contents, a serum made from the instructions scribed onto a seven-thousand-year-old artifact, John discovers he has new powerful abilities, and new blood-chilling enemies. He and his wife Jenny are soon running for their lives, hunted by the terrifying figures that will stop at nothing to protect the serum's seven-thousand-year-old secret, and retrieve the artifact needed to finish their plans.

On the run and searching for answers, they are thrown into a world of ancient secrets, esoteric mysteries and a clandestine underground race, when they become trapped in a cavern that holds the shocking secret history of the Human Race, deep underneath the ancient ruins of Babylon.

About the Author
S. E. MEYER has been studying ancient civilizations and religions from around the world for over ten years. As a boy, Meyer grew up in the wilderness of northern Ontario Canada and spent his time learning how to hunt, fish, and survive in the north. He moved to the lovely state of Wisconsin at 18, where he has now spent his entire adult life.

Self employed, a part-time consultant for the Department Of Defense, and now living in the northwestern part of Wisconsin with his wife and two sons, Meyer still loves the outdoors and tries to spend as much time there as possible.

Gardening, campfires, traveling and fishing are some of his favorite things and Mr. Meyer also loves to entertain; either by playing the guitar, or through captivating stories on the page. Additional hobbies include reading non-fiction and fiction as well as spending hundreds of hours thoroughly researching the topics in his books.

An interesting story of good vs evil, but ....
By Tholos
Meyer has given us a fine tale that interweaves mythologies and religions and histories in ways that maintain interest. It is the story of good vs evil told and retold through the ages. He moves the story along at a steady pace, so boredom never sets in.

On the other hand, it is riddled with cringe-worthy moments -- dreadful stereotypes of Chicago southside blacks and southern rednecks. And it contains some of the most juvenile romance and sex that you'll encounter outside pubescent fantasies.

Those moments can be overlooked, as can the few grammatical/typographical errors. The story itself is good enough to carry one through these moments.

However, I truly despise books that end abruptly with a cliffhanger, incomplete. This book literally drops the reader. I understand the desire of authors to write multivolume series. But this book ends as though the author simply took the completed manuscript and decided to published half now and half later, the split occurring at a chapter end, mid-conversation.

The question then becomes, is the overall story compelling enough to tempt purchase of a second volume, after that bit of nastiness. I haven't yet decided. There are many books available by authors who respect their readers more than this.

By Adam Simmons
Interesting concept, but leaves the story with a huge cliffhanger, which was what turned me off the most. Author couldn't decide on who to make the villain in the story, introduced characters in detail just for them to have no tral point in being in the story. I personally like to have a story follow the traditional guidelines of introduction, set up, rise, climax, then resolution. This author was too focused on trying to start a series than accomplishing a meaningful story. I enjoyed the main character and feel the true villains could have been really fun to read about, if the author had focused on that. Could be a fun series, but dont start reading this book unless you intend to read the whole series, otherwise it will leave you frustrated.

good read, poor editing
By Richard A. Larraga
I enjoyed this book very much. The plot moves at a good clip and Meyer interweaves Ancient Astronaut Theory and the Book of Revelations intricately. I gave this book only three stars because the Kindle edition was full of typos. In fact, practically every page had missing commas, apostrophes, capitalization, etc. A few sentences also had grammatical errors which distracted and detracted from my enjoyment of the book. I am, however, very much looking forward to the sequel, but pray that it is better edited.
